In my years as a licensed psychologist, I have realized that many of my clients are very hesitant to begin. I think this is primarily due to two main reasons:
Combating the social stigmas is a conversation all its own, and one for another day. Right now, I want to look specifically at how we can push past the fear of being vulnerable so we can seek the counseling services we need.
Overcoming the fear of being vulnerable can be a challenge, but when people feel comfortable with those they are with, they are much more willing to open up. Helping my clients to feel comfortable with me is a top priority, so this week I am dedicating my blog to helping each of you get to know me a little bit better. Here goes!
I am very excited to announce that I am working with Jack Canfield, both personally and professionally. Jack Canfield has created a series of success principles that I incorporate into my very own sessions. I became certified in The Success Principles on 12/24/2018. I received my certification in The Methodology on Oct 5, 2019.
Trainers who are certified in The Success Principles have spent countless hours learning from Jack and practicing his tried and true methods to bring greater success to audiences around the world. These individuals have demonstrated to Jack that they have intensely studied his material and are equipped to be teaching this work in your organization.
Below is a list of ogranizations I am a part of:
NAMI (National Alliance of Mental Illness)
APA (American Psychological Association)
POWER (Professional Organization of Women of Excellence Recognized) – Woman of Distinction 2019, Woman of the Month May 2019, Lifetime Achievement
IAW (International Association of Women) – Member of the Board in 2020
IAOTP (International Association of Top Professionals) – Top Transformational Psychologist of the Year 2019
