Important person for life and business advice
How often do you change your plans based on other people’s opinions? Even if you’re really excited about the plan and you really believe in it?
Whilst advice can help you make better life and business choices, it’s important to know when you should follow somebody else’s advice and when you should follow your own.
Have you ever taken advice from an “expert” instead of a real expert, and regretted it?
Have you ever had to choose between following your gut instinct or following somebody else’s opinion?
I’ve had many important moments in my life where I had to either trust my gut instinct or do what somebody else thought was best for me. Every time I chose to trust my gut instinct and stand confidently behind my choices, the most important moments in my life happened.
“So I’ve learned either to tune it out or to turn to others who are experts. That’s why I’m part of a business coaching group right now. We all need guidance. I’m not denying that. But choose who you listen to, choose the guidance you receive because I don’t want an attorney fixing my car and I don’t want someone with personal protective motives guiding my life.”

Sam Ruth is a psychologist and grief and anxiety coach. Sam’s mission is to change the way the world views both grief and mental health so people can openly speak about whatever issues they have and get the help they not only need but deserve without fear of judgment, labels, and repercussions.
Whether that means interacting with your employer/school/family or finding you a local handyman, I’m here to bridge the gaps.
